Bullitt County Fair Board, Inc. & Bullitt County Extension Connection Homemakers invites you to participate in a “BBQ Sauce Champion.” Use your most tasty recipe to enter a BBQ Sauce. Create your best original recipe.

Rules:

1. Entry Fee: $2.00. Deadline for entry is Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 at 6:45 p.m.
2. BBQ Sauce is to be made at home & brought to the Bullitt County Fair in closed container ready for judging at the date and time specified. Presentation/Appearance is consideration for judging.
3. Each entry must be accompanied be the recipe on an 8 1/2”x 11” sheet of paper, with name, address, and phone number on the back.
4. Recipe must list ingredient with measurements and preparation instructions with cooking times.
5. Contest is for amateurs only. No professionals. Youth must be accompanied by an adult to enter with entry fee. Limit one entry per person.
6. Judging will be based on appearance/presentation, originality/creativity, taste and clarity of instruction.
7. Entrant must be present to win. Winners agree to release the recipe and allow photographs and dishes to local media and the Bullitt County Fair, Inc.
8. Due to Kentucky Health regulations, there will be no tasting of the entries by the public.
9. The judges will disqualify sauces entered that are suspected of improper handling.
10. All decisions made by judges are final.
