General Rules
The Bullitt County Fair is planned and conducted according to the Kentucky Department of Agriculture
regulations for the use of State funds.
1. The Fair Board reserves the right to close any exhibit, if it be deemed to be set up or operated in any way not in the best interest of the Fair.
2. Premiums will be paid by the Bullitt County Fair Board as early as possible after the awards in the various departments have been made and checked.
3. Any premium check not cashed within thirty days will be forfeited to the Bullitt County Fair Board.
4. Each concessionaire will be limited to the space assigned to him. Failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of his privilege without recourse.
5. Concessionaires are required to keep their spaces clean and sanitary. All requirements of the State and County Board of Health must be met.
6. The Fair Board of Bullitt County will exercise every precaution to safeguard the public, exhibitors, employees and exhibits, but positively will not be liable for death, loss, theft, damages or injuries to persons, animals or articles.
7. Open classes are open to all exhibitors unless otherwise stated.
8. Entries made in FFA, and FHA Classes must have been produced in conjunction with an approved project sponsored by these organizations.
9. Any individual violating the above rules or creating a disturbance is subject to removal from the Fairgrounds by police authorities.
10. The Fair Board reserves the right to make changes in this catalog or any supplement thereof, and reserves the right to interpret all rules, regulations, conditions and differences arising out of any circumstances incident to any show.
11. The Fair Board reserves the right of cancellation at any time, for reason satisfactory to them, of all contracts made with concessionaires or exhibitors, and of any events scheduled for the Fair. The Fair Board also reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Fair, or any portion thereof, for valid reason.
12. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed thru the gate.
Safety rules for amusement device operators as as established by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture Commissioner Ryan F. Quarles.
1. Completely inspect and test run entire device before each operating period.
2. Assist patrons on and off device when necessary.
3. On devices with safety belts, lap chains or safety bars, be sure they are properly fastened before starting operation.
4. If device is being misused by patrons, shut the operation down until condition is corrected.
5. Intoxicated persons must not be allowed on device.
6. Smoking by patrons is not permitted.
7. If any unusual noise or condition develops while device is operating, stop same and notify maintenance department.
8. Be cautious and ready for the unexpected where children are involved. Under-aged children must be accompanied by an adult.
9. Patrons waiting for the next ride must be kept out side of fence or away from moving device.
10. Be alert when device is operating and prepared for an emergency stop.
11. Take pride in operating safely; a safe device is a profitable device.
