HOME ECONOMICS OPEN CLASS

Note: There will be a $3.00 entry fee per exhibitor. Individual results may not be published in the media.
RULES:
- All entries are to be entered on Monday, June 10th, 2024, between 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (Noon). Judging will be conducted from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Only authorized persons will be permitted in Exhibit Area while judges are working. Viewing hours are 5:00-10:00 p.m. daily during fair.
- Exhibitors will not be allowed to remove items until Sunday, June 16th, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Exceptions: baked goods, cut flowers and many horticulture entries. These items are discarded). Any exhibit removed before June 16th will forfeit prize money. Unclaimed exhibits will become property of the Bullitt County Fair.
- Exhibits must be work that was completed during the past year. Textile Division Items must be work that was completed within the last two years.
- Exhibitors are open to all individuals.
- No individuals may have more than one entry in each class number, however they may exhibit in all classes. If entered into the wrong class, entry may not be judged. Exhibit must be the work of the exhibitor.
- Each entry will be judged on its quality of work. Therefore, ribbons will be awarded on merit of entry.
- An exhibitor willing first place in a class one year is barred from exhibiting the same article in that class at any subsequent Bullitt County Fair.
- The Bullitt County Fair Board will not be responsible for any article exhibited. Care will be given to handling of articles and precautions will be taken to give reasonable protection to all exhibits.
- Rules for individual categories take precedence.
NOTICE: If you plan to exhibit more than 10 items, you must make arrangements for an early registration form. Early registration forms can be picked up at Mark Edison Law Office, 178 Combs Court in Shepherdsville (across from St. A’s gym). Special entry table will be provided at fair registration time if possible.

YOUTH ENTRIES: Open to Bullitt County Youth 16 years and under as of January 1 of current year. See general rules. Youth only items will be entered in Youth Baked Goods and Youth Handicraft Classes. Youth may enter any Division but will be judged against all entries in said class with the exception of Youth only classes. Entry fee is $2.00.
